I don't have yet any experience with this gigabit nic but searching google, I read that the new kernels already have a native module for it. It's "sk98lin".

Hi Pat,

I did some search at google again with the information you posted. I found that this driver works well for your board since 2.4.13. However, by this time that driver was not part of the kernel tree.

I unpacked the slackware kernel from the cd, duplicated the directory and applied the last sk98lin package over it to see if it is updated. There are many differences between both. So, I would suggest you to download it, patch and recompile your kernel. The file to download is under 400k. The instructions will be downloaded with the package.
