Slow DNS lookup

I just reinstalled gentoo and now when I ping anything outside my network by name is takes at least 10 secs to start. same with web browsing. If I ping something outside my network by IP its fine. my /etc/resolve 's nameservers are the same as a working windows box.

This is the only linux box but. Linux live cds do the same thing on diffrent computers. All my windows boxes are fine. Could it be a router setting?
