Question Sharing data question.

Hello all,

Im running an wu-ftp server off rh8 and i have setup a samba mount(its a hd on a w2k system, dedicated for network storage) in my own home directory, /home/username/mnt/pcname/d. My question is how can i mount this or reconfigure it be shared by other users/groups in my home directory? Actually, i want to share different parts with different permissions to different users. I was thinking about remounting it under /mnt. Or make a /home/mnt directory and a mnt user/group so i can add users to this new mnt group, am i totally off in this idea?

Your advise is appreciated,
Greg

Question

I added a group and group folder to the home directory and it can be accessed by the users locally and over Samba. I simply put a link of the directory in my users folders and they can access it. But when it is check over a ftp connection(they are using win clients w/internet exlorer to check) it just shows up as a no functional shortcut. Does any on have any ideas on this one?

Thanks,
Greg
