Setting up Linux Firewall and UPnP on old computer.

Hello,

I just got a new computer and what to turn my old computer into a Router/Firewall and run Folding@Home on it. I'm not too worried about security, because I really don't have anthing to steal . I run alot of file-sharing programs that need to use random ports to connect, so UPnP would be ideal.

I would suggest looking at installing Gentoo linux on the old machine, and setting up a minimal system - just enough to support networking. There are countless manuals on how to set up a linux box as a network router/firewall, and having the box act as a router while at the same time crunching away at Folding@Home, shouldn't be a problem.
