second proxy server

hello..we r using windows proxy server in our network with ip 192.168.0.1
and port 8080.now i am getting internet connection in clients 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3. but after that i configured my 192.168.0.2 s/m as a proxy server(squid) .and gave 192.168.0.3 to use 192.168.0.2 as the proxy server...but 192.168.0.3 shows some dns problem while trying 2 access internet...our local dns ip is 192.168.0.45.
i think the problem is that packets r not get forwarded from our local dns...but then how the packets got forwarded when we didnt use second proxy????at that time also we had local dns server...
plz give me a reply....

Hmmm, I am guessing English isn't your first language; that's not a problem, but next time please try and spread stuff out so it's easier for us to read :)

192.168.0.1 - Proxy Server
192.168.0.45 - DNS Server

192.168.0.2/3 - Clients

I do not understand why you are using more than one proxy server? What is the point of chain linking these proxies together?

192.168.0.3 ----> Asks DNS server @ .0.45
-----> Then Asks Proxy Server @ .0.2
0.2 -------> Then asks Proxy Server @ .0.1

Why can't you just set them all up to use one proxy server?

Steve
