Samba + Vista
Hello,
I have a Debian Server With Samba 3.0.24 installed, I created a set of shares so these shares require the user to supply a password without a user name, this worked well on windows XP, On windows Vista a dialog appears asking for a user name and a password. I googled the problem and I found that I had to change the LANManeger authentication level to 'LM & NTLM-use NTLMv2 Session if negotiated', but its not working on Vista, When I use the command 'net use z: \\nas\IT *' everything works well, what I want is to make Vista prompt for a password without a username.
And Here's my samba configuration:
[global]
netbios name = nas
idmap gid = 2000-3000
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_SNDBUF=8192 SO_RCVBUF=8192

read list = fschool
writeable = yes
path = /Share/FS
[IT]

Thanks in Advance
