Samba Suicide!

I'm killing myself over here.
Slack8. console only.
I have read thoroughly SMB-HOWTO.

Here's what I *CAN * get to work...

I can mount \\lpax\lpax291 **manually** with a script.
I still don't know how to use the /etc/fstab to mount that sucker on bootup, so I have a little script that does it for me. I can live with that part. for now!
I can "see" my Linux box at my home directory through the network. Read and Wriite, that's all good.

I can create a Linux printer using webmin 0.91 through my Win2000 PC. This modifies my /etc/printcap.
I can do a testparm and everything says it's ok.
I can do a testprns <printername> and that's ok.
I can do a smbclient "\\\\lpax\lpax291" and get to an smb: \> prompt and **from there, I CAN print /etc/lilo.conf** for example.

The testprint from webmin does NOT Print any test page of any kind using any configuration.

but I can't, for the life of me, get that sucker to print auto-magically over the network any other way to the
LaserJet 4050TN on an NT4.0 workgroup only. (No PDC)

So, it appears to be functional, but I'm prolly just too new to fine tune this package. Someone Please help my ignorance.

I would be most grateful if you could assist me, I KNOW YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE, as is mine.
I don't want to be a GUI-slave all my life!
