Samba stopped working...help!

I'm running Novell Suse 10. I used to be able to open Konqueror and go to smb://monitortan-main/SharedDocs to see my Windows computer's shared documents folder. Suddenly, it doesn't work any more, and I have no idea why. I get an error message:

Internal error

Pleas send a full bug report at http://bugs.kde.org

Unknown error condition in stat: Connection timed out

It's quite frustrating. I have no idea what's causing it. On top of that, I can't get into my Linux box through Windows either. It used to work so nicely.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

my first thought is that your not on the network

can you ping to the other systems on the network of vice-versa?
can it connect to the internet?

if no to both of those then you need to look into you network connection
might be the NIC is bad or the cable (if wired)

if yes to the above questions can you browse by ip instead of name

if that works double check all your settings and undo any updates that may have been done

I hope something here helps you out
good luck

I'm connected to the network through a router. Both macnines can contact the Internet, but not each other.

Actually, I can map my Linux directory to the Windows machine, but I can't get in because it asks for a password. I don't have a password for that directory on my Linux machine. So how do I tell it to let me in? Thanks.
