Samba problems with seeing windows98 (and vice versa)

I am using a samba server from my Suse 9 Pro computer. Thru local network it cannot see the windows machine and thru the windows machine with Network Neighborhood i cannot see the linux machine. They are both on the same workgroup.
The windows machine can nbtstat the linux machine thru ip and thru hostname and it sees it no problem.
The linux machine can nbmlookup the windows machine no problem. The smb.conf is :
[global]
workgroup = MSHOME
security = user
encrypt passwords = yes
server string = MSHOME
add user script =
domain logons = no
local master = no
preferred master = auto
;; ldap server = 127.0.0.1

[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = yes
guest ok = yes
printable = yes

What am i doing wrong?

My smb.conf has security = user and it works for me.

I do not believe AutOPSY meant for you to remove it. I think he meant for you to change it to security = something else.

But what exactly, I do not know.
