Samba Problem

I have my gentoo linux box set up to share files with other windows machines on the LAN using samba. I have used a win2k machine on the LAN to successfully connect to the box and transfer files. Even though I didn't change any samba settings, it suddenly stopped working. I have restarted the samba daemon, but that did not fix it. I get the error message:

NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

Here is some output when I try to use localhost to connect to the samba server from the same box:

bash-2.05a$ smbclient -L localhost
added interface ip=192.168.0.217 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Password:

Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.5]

tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

As you can see, authentication is successful, but then there is some other problem. Anyone know what to do?

Are you using a version of Samba prior to 2.2.1?

There is a problem with Samba on Win2k/XP networks that was fixed at about that build.

Just a guess...

Good luck,

Nope, as you can see above I'm using 2.2.5.
Also, it was working before, but it just decided to stop working even though I didn't change any configs.

What's your [global] section have to say? Mine has to have "encrypt passwords" to support my Windows 2000/XP network...

[global]
encrypt passwords = yes

I'm grasping ideas here.
