Samba config help

I'm trying to configure samba to allow me to browse/read/write all three hard drives I have from a windows machine. Basically add a network hard drive.

Ultimately I'm trying to make a music server for my house.

Right now I can browse and see all the files, but I can't play any mp3's or view any pictures, or even copy them to my windows machine.

my security level is set to "share" and access is limited to the "192.168.1.xxx" range.

I have a share set up like this:
Code:
[public]
   path = /
   public = yes
   browseable = yes
   writeable = yes
   read only = no
   guest ok = yes
   guest only = yes
Any idead as to what's going on?
