How about swat, do you have that
installed and started?
There are a couple of ways to check......
Type:
whereis swat and it should return /usr/sbin/swat and some other stuff.
Type:
chkconfig --list swat to see if the service is running. If it returns
swat off you could start it with the command
chkconfig swat on or start up a Redhat GUI tool with the command:
redhat-config-services and check the swat box.
If it turns out to not be installed, you could use:
apt-get install samba-swat
There are a couple of things to look at.
