rh not seeing internet...

hey im running a linksys 8 port/router connected to dsl...from the router it goes to my windows pc and my rh 7.2 server, well for some reason the server isnt seeing the internet...i can ssh into it and ftp into it,and i can even see apache thru the browser in windows....i have it set up to static addressing....i tried pinging www.yahoo.com and www.zdnet.com and neither work...so im guess its a dns issue...how do i set up dns on rh 7.2.....i only have cli btw

I'm kindof new to this, but I ran into a similar problem. You can run the command 'dhclient' and in hopes that it will pick up your NAT (assuming that you have one with your router)...

Edit: Or you can turn off IPTables off intirely just to see if that resolves it, if so, just re-adjust the rules.

If that doesn't help... sorry...

yea its i have NAT the windows machine is 192.168.1.8, the server is 192.168.1.100 and the router itself is 192.168.1.1

edit: dhclient doesnt work for me...
