Requirement for Web Hosting

hey geegs, I am just wondering for operating my own web hosting company.

I need all of your suggestion about

Internet Speed for it

Platform ( redhat, fedoar, mandrake etc)

and all other necessory software like control pannels

Please help me by giving your valuable suggestion on this thread.

Based on what I have been told that another web hosting company uses...

(1) either Red Hat 9.0 or Mandrake 9.0
(2) Ensim for all of the control panels, etc. Ensim is quite powerful but my understanding is that it is also awkward as well.
(3) T1 line or faster for your internet connection.

I would not suggest Redhat 9. Use RHEL or CentOS. Some hosts even use Fedora Core.
