Remote access to linux without x installed

The title maybe wrong but what i want to do is be able to control a headless linux comp that doesn't have x installed, so basically i just control the terminal remoteley... how do i do this? what do i use? I want the comp to run dedicated ut2003 server so i;m guessing i wont need x installed, is this right?
Thanks for any help

You can use SSH to open a connection remotely to administer it, and I believe "screen" is really popular these days in order to keep a virtual terminal open even if you disconnect. You can also follow the HOW-TO for Linux serial console by using a serial cable from another machine (using minicom in Linux or hyperterm in Windows).

By the way, it wouldn't hurt to trim your sig a little. That thing is huge.
