Redhat 8.0 DEC 21041 issues

Hey all...

For some reason I can't connect to the network from my linux boot, and the hardware display show's it's installed but pointing to dev/eth?

is there a way to change this?

just wanting to know how to change it because I obviously can't use it on the net.

Also, I haven't noticed my sound working and it detected both of my sound cards, the card that is built-in was detected even tho it has been disabled at the bios level and no sound comes through the other one (an SB PCI 512) are there any drivers out there that would be better suited?
