REDHAT 6.0 Netscape Communicator Probs
Howdy ,back to the LINUX forum. I got a Network problem withmy LINUX BOX ( compaq deskpro 2000/133) running
REDHAT 6.0 . I use KPPP to dial -up on Kde desktop in ROOT mode.
My modem is a Little 2400 BPS "MINIMODEM" powered by a9v battery -this MODEM is operated via the SERIAL port.
IT dials up my ISP and KPPP log gives me a sign of OK ( modem query in Kppp seems alright).
I only ONCE had sucess of having NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR/NAVIGATOR operate with this dial -up and go to a distant webpage.
Now I can,t seem to even get NETSCAPE linked onto the dial -up , I even try (open Location) bar and type in my ISP,s URL and "cannot locate Page" comes on .
Could these problems be Due to me using a SLOW modem (2400) as I do or could it be a deeper problem .
