Question Red Hat FS and dual boot WS

I have a file server running Red Hat 9 up and running and it seems to be running fine.

After my 10 year old daughter used the Linux box for about half a day she came to me and said "Dad, can you install that on all the machines?"

Well, considering I also have a 10 year old son who has quite a few Windows games I decided to compromise (at leats for the time being) and set another machine up to dual boot.

My problem is that when the PC boots into Win98 then I can see everything fine from the FS, but when I boot Linux I can no longer see anything on the network from either Linux boxes and I get an error saying something like Nautilus could not find the master smb server,

It sounds to me like the Linux machines are fighting about who gets to be the server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

See if you can ping all the machines from the linux box
If you can then its a samba problem
If you cant then its a networking problem
Go from there.

For samba you would have to setup smb settings i cant remember exactly where they are but you can go to www.justlinux.com/ and they have tutorials there to setup samba
Im pretty sure thats what your problem is.
