I see all those free proxy lists on the net to surf anonymously. How could I setup my own? I suspect my web browsing at work isn't so private after all.
I know about linux and networks, but I never played with proxies, any tips/how-to/links?
Well if your trying to browse anonymously on your network at work, and the only way out of the network is through the proxy server, there is no way of using another proxy server. By trying to use a proxy server on the internet, you first need to be connected to the proxy server on your LAN. Hence, you can't do it.
If you were at home and could get out to the internet without having to use a proxy server, you can THEN you a proxy server thats available via the internet.
ckoniecny, I want to setup a proxy at home and connect to it from work. There is no proxy at my workplace.
cs-cam, of course it's not meant to be private, that's the reason behind this idea. When they look at the logs, I want them to see an encrypted connection to a single server. No more no less.
