Proxy Problem


I have st up a proxy before connect to internet in my Mandriva Linux Powerpack 2007 but unfortunately the web browser complaint that its can't find any correct proxy. Therefore, i was wonder is there any things wrong. I am a newbie to Linux as well as computer.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

you need to explain more abuot what errors you're seeing and such like... for example, can you ping the proxy you are trying to reach? please provide more detail, things you think you'd want to know if someone was asking you this question. if your running this proxy yourself then you should be already able to ensure it is functioning before trying to use it.

The error message i can see from the web browser is unknown proxy host. I don't know what wrong with it.

Please help me.
