Is there some sort of graphical tool for windows that can monitor processes on a linux server on a lan? Mainly looking for some sort of tool that can monitor like the top command.
You need to setup x11 forwarding and just forward the display.
Of couse you need an X11 manager for windows....Cgywin is the name I think. I couldn't get this to work, but that was when I was first learning nix, I havn't tried since I use an KVM switch. If I want to look i push a button.
X-win32 is the program that you'll use if you want to pay for it. Its easyer than cgywin. I have used the trial and like it but they want too much for it.
I once tried to lauch X over it and killed my display for that user. I had to remove the user and add the user as I didn't want to mess with the display files
