Problems with Debian install

Hi!
I don't have cd-rom drive on my "server" and I try to install Debian from internet. I have only one problem, when I try to install my Allied Telesyn 2500 network card I only get problems...
Network card chip is 8139c and I tried to use driver 8139, driver works but when it try to contact DHCP it only get error..
What is possibly wrong?

The 8139 has its own driver, the 8139cp driver, instead of the 8139too driver used for the regular 8139 chips. This driver module is pretty new, and I don't think it's included with Debian Woody, at least not in the 2.2 kernels. You do use the bf24 option, don't you?

bf24 is going to install 2.4 kernel, instead of the 2.2.
you might as well, install bf24.

i dont think u should select anything from the list of drivers. let the install go on with whatever it selects. try install without selecting anything yourself, and see if it gives u an ip addr uysing dhcp - just keep clicking next/ok.

Hmm.. If I don't select network device I can't start install Debian from internet
I have to try install one more time on tomorrow, if it doesn't work it's no my problem anymore
