problem with module 3c575_cb on fedora

I have a 3cxfe575ct 3com pcmcia card that I am trying to get to work in an IBM thinkpad 240. From what I understand I need to have the module 3c575_cb for this so I downlaoded and installed the pcmcia-cs package. When I do a "make config" it has the message
Quote:
Your kernel is configured with pcmcia driver support. Therefore, 'make all' will compile the PCMCIA utilities but not the drivers. See the README-2.4 if this is not what you intended!
After a 'make all' and 'make install', I do not have the 3c575_cb module. I read the README-2.4 file but it did not help me. I am fairly new to linux unfortunately.

Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?
