Port Sniffer

Is there a nmap utility or port sniffer of any kind that is installed with Red Hat 7.1. I was asked if my machine was using such a utility, but I do not see one running. Also, it was run this morning, while I was not here, so maybe it is in a default cron job that I don't know about. Does anyone have any idea? Thank you.

There is no security programs (nmap, port sentry, sniffit, snort) automatically installed, you have to choose them. I believe you can install tcpdump, and tcp_wrappers when you install the system, but they also have to be set up, they don't just work automatically.
