Password not accepting by l3 cisco 3750 switch while conecting it by serial port


Hi Friends
I have l3 cisco 3750 switch.I am able to login by telent but not by serial port with the same password.
It was working fine earlier but now seems to this problem.

Please let me know how i can login by serial port having the same password?

please do the needful since now i am stuck at this point.

telnet in to the switch
follow these steps
Code:
conf t        //config terminal
line con 0    //configure the console line
login local   //uses the same login/password as telnet
Ctrl z        //exit config terminal mode
wr            //write the configuration
