We are searching vendor to provide packet filtering function , we are consider to buy a product (eg. 3com ) directly or setup a Linux server , the below is typical functions of the product , can linux do all these functions ? thx

performance
track application response times
access performance diagnostics ( tcp health ) , traffic capture
