nsswitch.conf file deleted, how can I rebuild it?

Hi,

I've been trying to get Microsoft Services for Unix working with my debian distro. I'm trying to enable user name mapping on the XP computer so that it can use NIS to get the debian user profiles. The ultimate aim of all this is to run the Sun N1 Grid Engine across several computers with Linux being the Master Host and the XP computers being the execution hosts.

Anyway, in my infinite wisdom I've managed to delete the nsswitch.conf file on the debian computer. Could someone tell me how to recreate it please?

Here's the default version that came with my sarge install...
Code:
# /etc/nsswitch.conf
#
# Example configuration of GNU Name Service Switch functionality.
# If you have the `glibc-doc' and `info' packages installed, try:
# `info libc "Name Service Switch"' for information about this file.

passwd: compat
group: compat
shadow: compat

Hi,

Just try installing the glibc-2.3.3-74 package forcefully. It will make the nsswitch.conf file reappear.

Thanks;
