Not Able to Access VPN server through Firestarter

Hi !

I am facing a typical problem. I have CentOS 5 server running. The firewall is Firestarter. It is doing the job precisely.

Recently some of the users required connectivity from office LAN to a VPN server located elsewhere. But the client systems having Windows XP Pro are not able to connect to the VPN server.

Is there any setting to be done in the firestarter firewall ?
Please suggest step-by-step.

Thanking In Advance

You've missed the most important information - what type of VPN do you use, what software is used?
If it's OpenVPN, you have to open UDP/1194 port.
If it't PPTP, you have to open TCP/1723 port and allow GRE protocol.

So, what VPN server do you use?

I think that XP clients try to connect to some PPTP server. If it is so, you have to not only allow TCP/1723 port and GRE protocol, but also load conntrack_pptp module, to let several clients connect to the VPN-server through your firewall simultaneously.
