No Nameserver resolving using TDSL

Hi all,

i tried to configure my system to use TDSL. I installed rp-pppoe
(Slackware 9.0).

If I make a ping it works fine. The Problem : The system doesen't
resolve web addresses. My Browser works when I type in the ip address....

I set in etc/ppp/options 'usepeerdns' wich should manage this.
I tried it with using 'static ip' or 'DHCP' in netconfig....with no success.

Can anyone help ?

Kind regards,

Marcus

Hy,

I don't know if this will solve the problem.. but:
Have you had a look at /etc/ppp/peers/dsl-provider
(or whatever your peer-option-file is named)

This file is overriding your option-file-options.

If this is not solving the problem, try to find out which Telekom-NS to use and add them to your /etc/resolv.conf for a 'fast and dirty'-fix of your problem.
You could have a look at
http://www.atelier89.de/users/dirk/t-o/010.html
for finding your nameserver.

regards
