Well, i'm a newbie to linux so i'm needing help. I installed 4 different linux distros and in 3 of them i cant get no internet. I installed ubuntu, debian and slackware sucessfully but when i end i get no internet. I have a DSL Router, everything works fine i can ping computers on the local network, i can ping external sites (e.g: google.com) but i just can't surf the internet, and use other programs that require internet like xchat,gaim, etc.. I used both a DHCP IP and a static IP and the result was the same, no internet. But when i installed Fedora Core 3 i had no problems, the internet was up and kicking. but i dont want fedora i just installed it to try and see if i had problems with internet, because i want to use slackware. Also when using Windows i have no problems at all acessing the internet. Please someone help me because i'm starting to desperate
