NetworkManager RHEL krb5-auth-dialog and AD

Hi,

I have just started learning linux. I am trying to authenticate from RHEL 5.1 using AD user name. Everything seems to go fine until I issue kinit command. _Everytime_ I issue that command "krb5-auth-dialog" pops up even though I am logged in as AD user itself. Unless I give the correct password for the same account that I logged in as again, I cannot use ticket.

The kinit command I am giving is:

Command: kinit /S host/AnotherXpHost.MyDomain.com -k -t /etc/
MyKeyTab.keytab ServicePrincipalName

But as you can see, they both are for Ubuntu. Also I came across few articles where it was mentioned that krb-auth-dialog uses network manager if one is available. I have NetworkManager-gnome-0.6.4-6.el5NetworkManager-0.6.4-6.el5, NetworkManager-glib-0.6.4-6.el5 installed.

I wanted to know whether this is known bug in RHEL as well (apologies, I am kinda confused about the different versions - Ubuntu, RHEL, Fedora and so on..)

Thanks in advance,
Neel.

From the research that I have done so far, I found that there are at least two bugs that are reported for this kind of behaviour:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...log/+bug/73550
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...og/+bug/104815

I have also posted this question on one of the groups if you need to have more details: http://groups.google.co.in/group/com...4e85e53?hl=en#
