ok so far i have used netconf to set up ip address 192.168.0.1 on PC #1
then i have 192.168.0.2 on pc #2 then i check if eth0 is activated (netmask 255.255.255.0)

ifconfig eth0 up ?

reboot

ping 192.168.0.1

network unreachable

ok what else do i need to set????

then i tryed this

PC #1
ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255 up ?
route add default gw 192.168.0.254
change /etc/resolve.conf to 192.168.0.254

ok what do i need to do with pc #2 all the same but the ip???
