Arrow Networking 3 PC

Ge day.
I am trying to learn about Linux I know very little. I have installed Mepis 6.5 live on a PC and I have xp pro on the other and xp home on another one.
My aim is to network the 3 PC through a router then use another PC to setup a firewall, Clark Connect ,through a external dile up router being Netcom 56K V90 Web Master.
I wish to network the 3 PC together but i do not know how to go about setting up Linux.Mepis 6.5 live.
I am using a D link router DI524 four port.
I have used cat 5 twisted pair cables to connect the PC together in the network cards and router.
What is the setup for Mepis. Where do I start I will need step by step instructions. Please.
Greg

Hi gregrae, Welcome to lq. The first step will be getting your hardware up and running if it isn't already. Once that's done networking basics are very similar across the board. You can start here.

More specifically to Mepis here.

Good luck. ;-)
