That is the perfect solution to this .
In redhat , I do that by

Actually, as a retired programmer I did know about commenting out. What I do not know about is Linux. I can enter "nameserver 10.0.0.2" in resolve conf but how do I make dhcpcd run at boot time. I have looked in YAST/Software/Software Management and dhcpcd has a tick beside it. Am I looking in the right place?
