I got samba set up and the shares on my windows machine are showing and the shares on mandrake are showing. I have LiSa
setup so I can browse my network, but when I use Konquer to access windows share directories none of the files in the directories are showing up. What can I do to fix this?

Can you post your Samba configuration file.

Located at /etc/samba/smb.conf

I came across the same problem when I tried to setup my
networking environment (a mixture of windows and linux boxes
as you). I first tried Lisa, the same result!, only shares but no files were shown.

For the sake of simplicity, just leave Lisa and use LinNeighborhood
instead!. It'´s a nice utility that get installed when you install Mandrake 9.1. You can find it in the following menu :
K Menu/Network/ Remote Access.

Provided that all your boxes share the same workgroup, you will see in a Windows´s neighborhood-like screen, all your actives boxes. You can double-click on any PC shown and see all its shares. Even more, you will be able to mount and unmount any share (you will be asked where to mount a selected share).

Hi There..

Eve me is facing the same prob .....Having LISA up and runing but cant find the share folders in the lan browser....I can mount the folder and than access the network .......but its not that effective... I am having RH8.0 cant even use line neighbourhood.......There has to be some way where we can access the folders using la browser any one can pls guide me...
