Network service


Everytime i need to restart the network service in order to activate the network. I'm using RHL 7.3 . How do i get it started automatically ? Thanks.

Everytime? What every time? Every time you login? reboot? turn off?... when? Maybe consider a script to do this automatically.

Hi, the network services in network configuration is checked already. Is this same as it ?

Hi, everytime i start linux. But if i restart the network service then it is ok.

In your redhat 7.3, just type
man chkconfig
and it will explain everything.
You must "su -" to use chkconfig.
Don't forget the - after su.
You may want to verify that the network service is enabled.
Do this
# chkconfig --list network
If it is already enabled for levels 2345 then this is not your problem.

just type ntsysv. u'll get a screen. in that select network and say ok.

it should work.
