network map/discovery

Hello,

I need a program to scan some subnets and make a map with all th devices there ( switches/routers/servers etc)
The reason for this is that the company i work for bought some small networks and we need to figure out what is happening there

Thank you very much

yes well, i've been using nmap(which is great) but i also need something to do automated drawings...the problem is that i don't have a lot of time to test all the software out there and i was thinking perhaps someone already tested this kind of software and can share his knowledge...
I don't need fancy drawings but i must have an overview like a picture or something

The only automatic network mapping program I have seen for Linux is Cheops, the orginal project never had very much momentum so it was rarely updated from what I have seen. Cheops-ng is now out and the last update looks like it was in October of 2005.

If you are aware of any other automatic network discovery/drawing programs for Linux please post what you have found, I would be interested in taking a look at them.
