Question network and modem conflict

hello!
I have problem between local network and modem. When I config my network with netconfig command (enter IP, gateway, DNS server) I can't connect to internet with my modem. When I delete gateway and DNS server with netconfig command everythin is okay but I can't go on internet over my network.
Here is what happends when I try to dial with kppp.
ATZ
OK
ATM1L3
OK
ATX3
OK
ATDT1433
and then after handshake it writes CONNECTED 46666 and die with message
The pppd deamon died unexpectedly!
Exit status 1

When I go on Details... there is a message:
Jul 27 11:44:17 mtarlac pppd[1300]: By default the remote system is required to authenticate itself
Jul 27 11:44:17 mtarlac pppd[1300]: (because this system has a default route to the internet)
Jul 27 11:44:17 mtarlac pppd[1300]: but I couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so.
Jul 27 11:44:17 mtarlac pppd[1300]: (None of the available passwords would let it use an IP address.)

I forget to say it is on Slackware 10.
