Netstat port state IDLE


Hi All, with netstat i found a port with idle state, i google the meaning of IDLE:

Idle, opened but not bound.

What do you mean by bound?

Can you post the output of netstat showing IDLE ?

Please see below:

# netstat -a | grep -i 7682
server1-as.33707 server2-as.7682 Connected
server1-as.7682 Idle
