NetMeeting server on Linux
Hi guys!
I have a Linux Red Hat 8.0 server box and I'd like to know if there exists a good open source program that goes as a Netmeeting server (I mean like ils.blahblahblah.net).
How do I run such a server on my machine?
Is there something free or open source for Windows?
Many thanks in advance.
I beg your pardon if my question is too silly.
From what I read on this HOW-TO, Netmeeting queries an LDAP server to find multiple users. It says that Netmeeting violates the LDAP protocol, so someone wrote a kit to fix this problem. Read this HOW-TO: http://docs.linux.cz/howto/NetMeeting-HOWTO.html
However, if you're looking for a single Netmeeting client, it uses the H.323 protocol, and therefore you should use OpenH323. You can get it from freshmeat.net.

Let me know if I understand exactly what you mean:
I'm interested in creating on Linux Red Hat 8.0 a server for multiconferencing (my clients have all NetMeeting on windows machines connected to Internet).
Have I to install the OpenLDAP software to do so?
Please help me and excuse me but I'm really newbie to this issue!!!
From what it says in the HOWTO, you have to install the LDAP server. Instructions are in the HOWTO, and even links to download it. You also have to install the Netmeeting directory kit; links are also provided Here's an updated version of the HOWTO: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/NetMeeting...eetserver.html
Hope this helps. Let me know when you get it running.
Does anyone know where I can get the NetMeeting Directory Kit since freesoft.org has been down the last two days? Is there a good mirror somewhere that you can point me to? Thanks!
