Question netfilter - snmp filters

Hi!

I'd like to know if there are "standard" filters that could be used to differ SNMP packets (I mean, higher than layer 4 filters).

I'd like to filter snmp traps depending on its alarm OID. Is that possible? I know there's l7-filter available, but is that standard? At least there's nothing for l7 on ubuntu repos.

Thanks in advance.

What would be a good reason to filter SNMP traps by OID? The OID itself is just a string and filtering it or not has no effect on anything in any network layer that isn't able to interprete it anyway. So what are you actually trying to accomplish? I'm asking this because filtering this way seems doing things the "right tool for the wrong job" kind of way.

That actually makes sense... I'd like to filter some heartbeat traps.
