Name problems

I have just added a slackware linux box to our campus network. It seems to be fetching an IP from the DHCP server, but no one can contact it via it's name. I can use lynx, and mail to the outside world, but I no one on campus can contact me by the name. INETD has the apache, finger, telnet, wu-ftp should all work, but they aren't doing anything unless I use the IP I get when I send out mail and point a browser/ftp/telnet/etc client to the IP. Anyone have any ideas?

As a note we do have 10.x.x.x ip addresses, but this within our network so it should work, at least the windoze boxes do.

you probably wanna use DDNS aka Dynamic DNS..
The link below has no info on it but it's a place to start or something..
It says there's info on the subject in the man pages for dhcpd.conf..
I'm too tired to look for Linux documentation now.
