Multiple Network Devices on Same Subnet

Hello there. Well here goes my first post as a new user.

I have two networks that I want to connect to in order to access the internet on them. One of them is a wireless connection and one is a wired connection. What I am trying to do is access the internet using both networks.

I have set up the devices on their respective networks and the routing tables with load balancing using iproute. The problem I am running into is that the networks are on the same subnet and the gateways have the same IP addresses(192.168.0.1) and the routing rules are based on IP.

Is there a way to run both of these networks on different interfaces and have it route through both of the gateways? I was thinking of some sort of alias or maybe there is a way to get by the NAT?

Any help to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

J

You can bond these two interface together. The loading balance and same subnet are Ok.

This is a guide of sorts. You may be able to configure it on your system or if worse comes to worse you can run a virtual machine of an OS that has this feature pre-made. http://www.shorewall.net/MultiISP.html

Thanks for the quick responses. I will try both bonding and Shorewall.

You can specify the outgoing device in a route.
