Mounting a computer through ethernet

I am just wondering if there is an easy way to mount another computer through an ethernet card. That is, what command is used to check what /dev device my other computer (connected through ethernet), if there is one and if the other computer pops up in the list of devices. It would make everything easier if I can just write "mount /dev/eth1 othercomputer".

Doesn't matter, I found out it has something to do with smbmount... so I'll just go ahead and read the man pages... thanks anyway...

you can also use nfs

/etc/exports
