Hi... I am looking for a web server with support for ssl and execution of os commands. The most important thing is the low requirements..
Any suggestion?

If you are this new to linux then most like you have apache installed. See if you can start the service httpd.

For redhat/fedora the command from a terminal would be
service httpd start or restart or stop.

Also the conf dir is in /etc/httpd
and the host dir us usually in /var/www

Hope this helps.
Here is what you are looking for.

www.apache.org is the source.

Requirments....you can't get less than 133MHZ with 64mb of ram and an old ethernet card and 4gig hardrive.

If this is just a testing server then this would be fine, actually it would do ok for about 10 connections. If your expecting 20,000 hits then you might want to look into ebay for some junk server stuff.

linux....requirments......hahahha.....If you could code you could run a websever off a palm pilot....
