Looking for help with a proxy set up.

Hey guys.

So regarding the inevitable incoming monitoring that we are about to see from ISPs, i'd like to look into proxying my entire internet connection.

As it stands, I have a rented dedicated server with root access, and 2 sites I'd like to proxy. I'd like to get 2 extra IP's for my server, and essentially have them become the gateway for each site. I don't want to NAT them through the servers existing main IP.

I'd plan on getting a new router for each site anyway, so if custom firmware (Tomato, DD-WRT, etc) is needed, that isn't a problem at all.

Any suggestions?

Just to clarify - do you mean '2 sites' as in 2 remote physical locations?

Yes.

Also just to note, the router I had in mind for getting at each site was the Linksys E1200 if it's of any help. It seems to get a lot of good reviews and it's essentially just a Cisco router.

A straightforward way would be to set up VPNs from those sites to your server using, say, OpenVPN and allow your users to access Internet through that.

I already have a PPTP VPN set up on the server, however I was looking for something that bridged from the router to the IP on the server, rather than just individual client PC's.

Sure, see this on site-to-site VPN using OpenVPN and DD-WRT:

Thanks. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Should have known the DD-WRT wiki would have something on it. :P
