Logwatch problem

Hi,

I keep getting the following errors in the logwatch:

Errors when lookup ident 7 Time(s)
Service on port 25:
server1.speedydns.info: 7 Time(s)

It seems this is a SMTP problem, so it may just b smtp is not started or running properly?

But what is logwatch is it just a thing that tries to find errors, just it may be easier to look at that.

Thanks

Graham

Logwatch is a script that runs via cron.hourly or cron.daily and reports any errors that appear in your /var/log/messages and/or other log files. If you don't want this showing up, just delete the entry from out of the /etc/cron.hourly directory. But it really is useful to see what your server is doing all night long while you're asleep.
