Linux version 8 sendmail problem

I've recently installed Linux 8.0 on my new server. Everything was going fine, however, after a 24 hour period, I discovered that I could not receive mail from outside domains, there is no problem sending mail.

Any ideas why this service has stopped delivering mail?

This is the error message I'm receiving when trying to sent mail from hotmail.

Diagnostic-code: smtp;550 5.0.0 Access denied

I just moved your thread to Linux - Networking as it's a networking question. Member Intro is to say who you are etc. Next time please choose the forum carefully. (Side note: more people view Networking than Member Intro, so you have a better chance for an answer here).

Could you look into the server logs (especially /var/log/messges). There should be error messages.

Could be a software config problem. In your sendmail.cf, do you specify any DaemonPortOptions or ClientPortOptions? Some distros lock this down to localhost

Do you mean you were able to receive mails before/during the 24 hour period?
