I'm going to introduce my workstation going to carzy especially network.
For reference, I use openSUSE Linux 11.1 and use fixed ip address
there's no problem in the OS, because i used another linux before
So, the problem is two things
1. internet connection : when i install the linux and config the ip address, network well operated with internet including internal network,
but after a few minute later, the internet did not worked but internal network was well operated.
I changed ip address or changed another linux but the same symptoms existed
2. I used a program that using the global license.
as you know about, the program need global license when it starting the program. the first i start it, it showed the license error and then i try once again it works!! after a few minute later, it did not work again. it repeated all day!!

Sounds like a physical problem. Check the cables to your desk? Because if you changed the IP address, and also changed to another Linux workstation, then the only thing in common between those two would be the cabling. If you mean you BOOTED another version of Linux on the same box, have you checked your network card? Also, what type of connection are you making? What's in your environment? Do they use Windows, and do those Windows boxes have anything that would identify them on the network? Could very well be that your workstation is being 'quarantined' somehow. And are you sure you're not using the same IP address as another workstation? Talk with your network admins.

dose anybody knows about this problem
How can anyone know about this problem, when you don't give us any details? WHAT program? What do you mean by 'global license'? And, since this is obviously a vendor-supported/pay for program, why don't you call the vendor???
TB0ne: Suse is commercial, OpenSuse is not. There is no vendor for him to call.
As to the rest, after reading through all he said I must admit I am a bit in the dark and uncertain if I understand anything here.
I suspect we need to ask the right questions to help him express exactly what is really happening, to what, and when.

Right. But where does that enter into things here?? I was addressing his second question:

I don't see where it says anything about SuSE at all, either SLES or openSUSE. If the OP HAS a license for a program (whatever it is), ostensibly that license is purchased from SOMEONE. That purchase entitles you to use the program and probably entitles you to tech support. However, the OP doesn't say WHAT the program is, what error(s), etc., hence my reply.

Agreed; I asked follow-ups on his first question, since the symptoms described can be caused by a number of things. As far as the second question, all we know is it's "a program".
