hey guys..

I have two systems at home (one cable modem)

the way I get both online is as follows

Both computers run windows XP..

Cable modem runs into the main computer - it has two networks cards.. the second computer is connected to the main computer through the second network card (no hubs/switches or anything like that) and internet sharing works fine..

can you do this in linux?

I've ran mandrake and ran the "Internet Sharing Connection" - it said it was all configured and ready to go - but i cant get the second computer online..

any ideas?

some more details..

eth1 - used to access the internet (i can surf the net just fine in linux)

eth0 - the network card the other computer is connected through..

when i ran the wizard - it picked up that eth0 will be the card that makes up the network etc..

the computers are connected though a crossover cable..

You can do it. I'm not sure what that wizard does, take a look at this tutorial:
